Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, September 4, 2002

The Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. Don Arbow, Mike Grueter, and Karen Lindner were in attendance. Since the three were a majority of the voting members of the board, the meeting went on.

Old Business:
(1) PayPal: Official sign up with PayPal is completed (thank you Jack Alton). Code is being written so new members can use PayPal when signing up on-line. Renewals and Donation possibilities will be added as time allows.

(2) Dana reportedly told Don that there is an offer from Digital Forest to host the FileMaker Data base for membership but there are also other ways to share the data base on line.

New/Continuing Business:
(1) Adobe will do a Main Meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2002. Details of what and where are still being worked out.

(2) Omni who wants to make a presentation so will be invited for the same meeting.

(3) Macromedia who makes Flash MX, Freehand, Dream Weaver, Flash, Fireworks, etc. will be invited to do a Main Meeting after the first of the year.

(4) Mike moved and is was seconded that dBug purchase a copy of Jaguar for the RC iMac. The motion was carried unanimously. Mike will order and install the software.

(5) After it a discussion it was recommended that the board limit its face to face meetings to 4 times a year and move to an on-line conference board meeting. Don is investigating a new software which would facilitate on-line voting.

(6) A new Membership CD is needed. Mike will burn it with dragto-install copies of current First Class software plus some goodies like TechTool Lite. Thanks to Howard Wilson for instigating this project with his rewriting of the installation instructions for the current CD which match current systems.

Meeting was adjourned at around 8:20 PM
